Tuesday 23rd July - walk *** – Around Felixstowe including a picnic at
Brackenbury Cliffs – mainly cloudy but warm.
The day actually started off wet with enough rain to nearly fill our butt
yeterdays wind had moved away as did the rain, Mag biked to feed our sons
cats while I did my exercises in the garden. With Tuesday being visit Mary
day in the afternoon we decided to take a picnic to the beach at Jacobs
ladder leaving home at 12.30 we head down to the prom at the end of our
road. We amble along to The Fludyers continuing to Jacobs Ladder where our
spot on the beach so we carry on up and around the rock defense, being high
tide we have to squeeze through the steps to avoid the water. We carry on
along the Dip section of prom and up the steep steps coming out at the
cliff top kiosk before turning left to Brackenbury cliifs bumping into some
old friends and fellow BBC weather watcher and stop for a chat:) We sit on
th end bench for our lunch but due to the height of the plants it’s a job
to see the sea! After lunch we continue to the town centre leading to
Mary’s for a cuppa and cake. Another light wind day tomorrow with
hopefully some wind forecast for Thursday.
PS – I was checking the BBC National forecast and was surprised to see
one of my pics used:)
